Instructors Needed at TCNJ

Hi all,

I invite enthusiastic instructors to join us at the College of New Jersey for the fall, 2021 semester!

Our “gateway” introduction course COM 103: Introduction to Communication Theory needs two adjunct instructors for the fall semester, one to teach Mon-Thurs 9:30- 10:50, the other to teach Mon-Thurs 11-12:20. Our Dept. of Communication Studies won the 2013 Rex Mix Program of Achievement Award for the NCA as that year’s best undergraduate department in the nation, and our faculty are active teachers, scholars and professionals.

Ideally, applications will be received by August 9. For any questions, please contact our chair, Dr. Keli Fazio, at Keli.Fazio@tcnj.edu

Here is the link to the application portal.

I have taught at TCNJ for 29 years and I still love teaching there. I recommend our department to everyone!

Sincerely,
John Pollock

A Message from Todd Kelshaw – Instructors Needed

Hello NJCA community!

Montclair State’s School of Communication and Media seeks Fall instructors for our CMST 201, Fundamentals of Communication and Media Studies classes. We have two in-person sections that need instructors (or a single instructor to teach both):

  • M & Th 12:45-2:00
  • M & Th 2:15-3:30

This is a new course for our recently re-developed major in Communication and Media Studies. It is ideal for an educator with a generalist background. The course’s two general purposes are:

  • To introduce students to the various relational contexts (interpersonal, group/organizational, cultural, public/mass-mediated, etc.). We do this by way of communication theory, using Littlejohn et al.’s Theories of Human Communication textbook.
  • To get new majors familiar with and excited about their chosen program of study.
  • If you have questions about this course or employment at MSU, please email me at todd.kelshaw@montclair.edu.

If you wish to apply, please send your cv, a letter of intent, and two letters of reference to the same email address (todd.kelshaw@montclair.edu). Please specify whether you have interest in both sections or one particular section. (If you need time to gather letters, please simply send the other materials to expedite things; the letters can follow later.)
Best wishes for your continuing healthy and fun summer!

Todd
